Marine & Offshore
Owners of pleasure boats like to have a beautiful ship that is comfortable and easy to use. At the same time, for a long and joyful sailing experience the boat has to be reliable in operation and resistant to sea water and corrosion. This is pretty much the same for operators of commercial vessels, offshore structures and auxiliary equipment. They require minimal maintenance and predictable performance for optimum operation and safety.
Aliancys is supplying a broad range of resins used in boats, vessels and offshore equipment. This includes products from Atlac®, Daron®, Palatal® and Synolite™ brands. Many of these have received an official certification from Lloyds, DNV or RINA.
- For manufacturing decks, hulls and individual boat components, our customers have been using Palatal® and Synolite™ resins for many years. Specific resins are available for use in Vacuum Infusion, Hand-Lay-up and Spray up processes. While the quality consistency of these resins enables an easy and predictable processing in your plants, they also allow designing components with the right strength and stiffness.
- Atlac® resins are offered for vessel parts that require higher strength, for reducing overall boat weight (thinner wall designs), or for minimizing osmosis through use as tie coat between gelcoat and laminate.
- Several Synolite™ resins have been approved for offshore installation, having demonstrated excellent corrosion resistance and continued structural integrity in submerged structures for over 10 years. Aliancys has also been successful in supplying Atlac® resin solutions for use with carbon fiber in deep water sea cables and Daron® resins for parts that require resistance to chemicals and elevated heat.
